Rumbly Tummy

Today Nicholas came in to the room claiming to be super hungry.  I asked him how he knew he was hungry.  He replied he knew he was hungry because his tummy was rumbling.  I asked him how his tummy rumbled and he lifted up his shirt and showed me.  I thought it was hilarious so I begged him to show me again on camera.

Birthday

Since today is Kyle's birthday, we planned to get him a small cake we could all share.  I took advantage of the older two being off at camp this morning and went to look at cakes.  Kyle ended up picking his cake because he desperately wanted this one we came across that had whip cream frosting, chocolate breading, and chocolate and strawberries on top.  He was even trying to eat it through its container as we waited in line to pay for it. 

Now, unless you are one of the Grandparents, I'm sure you don't really want to watch several videos of Kyle eating cake.  However, here they are, just in case you do want to watch.  :)







Nicholas loves singing and music in general.  It amuses me that his favorite songs are so varied in style.  He's always singing, but when I ask him to sing for the camera, he gets shy.  Here is his best effort in singing two of his favorites at the moment.

Happy birthday to our youngest!  We love you, Kyle!

Yes he is wearing a turtleneck and pants.  He had socks on too, but he took those off.  We are having 'unseasonable' weather and it is cool and rainy today.

Birthday Party

Saturday we celebrated Kyle's first birthday, though his actual birthday is Tuesday.  It is amazing how quickly a year flies by.  We had so many people attend this year and it was so much fun.  He slept very little and when he did go down at 7 last night he slept till 8:30 this morning.  I had several kids tell me it was the best party ever!  Ha ha... the bounce house, cake, cookies, pinata, and snow cones may have had something to do with that I'm sure.

That is all for now, but more birthday pictures to come.  I 'lost' my camera for a while during the cake time and Trevor took lots of pictures for me.  I will post those once I get them and look through them.


In addendum, we have learned that Kyle takes his birthdays very seriously.  He decided that to celebrate properly, one needs to celebrate in one's birthday suit.  I found him watching tv and naked.  The streaker lives.  Oh well!
