Butterflies

Kyle decided he really wanted to raise some caterpillars into butterflies.  We ordered some painted lady caterpillars and watched them eat away.  They formed their chrysalis and emerged last week.  We have had them in the enclosure and today he finally decided to release them since it is stopped raining.  He was so happy to let them go and hold them for a bit before they flew away.  We also discovered those busy little butterflies laid a bunch of eggs in the enclosure, so we shall see if we get more caterpillars.

Connor has been preparing for 2 months to perform in Mulan Jr. for school.  He played Shan Yu, leader of the Hun Army.  He LOVED performing and all the attention and praise he garnered after each show.

Connor's Birthday Celebration

This year Connor decided he was too old for a little kid birthday party, so he invited a few friends to Dave and Buster's for games and dinner.  They had so much fun!

 Connor asked me last minute to make some treats, so I made an 8 bit heart (without a cookie cutter!).  I cut out each sugar cookie in the shape I needed.  Then I also made heart shaped cupcakes.  The hearts are part of a game he likes and he wanted his celebration to be in that theme.
