Wednesday full of fun

Today Charlie took a day off of work, so we spent the day together. Connor was so excited that Daddy, Mommy, and Nicholas dropped him off at school AND picked him up. :) Connor got out early today so it was nice to get to spend more time altogether. Grandpa Jim came over to babysit the kids while Charlie and I attended a parent/teacher conference. When we got back, we all went to Toys R Us to pick up our copy of the new release of Snow White on Blu Ray. We went to Yogurtland to have some yumminess. I went to get my bridesmaid dress altered. We bought shoes for the boys to wear to the wedding. I also bought myself some very cute $5 shoes; I simply can't resist cute shoes, especially when they are so cheap! We went to a car show and then got Boston Market for dinner. :)

Also, today I spent some time drawing and coloring in some Halloween decorations for the front windows. Charlie, Nicholas, and Connor are all very impressed with the finished products. Personally though, I think that my cat looks like it has a broken leg. :P

Doesn't Charlie just look so absolutely thrilled to be at the car show? :P

Walk-a-thon

Today was the walk-a-thon at Connor's school. He managed 9 laps before we called it quits, although I have to say, in Connor's case it was more of a run-a-thon. :) Thankfully it was not super hot, but it was hot nonetheless.

Nine laps will make you quite thirsty.

And now for a pizza break.....

These other pictures are from a peek we took into Connor's classroom on Tuesday.

Past Curfew

Last night, I went out with Cathy, Marija, and Veronica to celebrate Cathy's birthday. We went to a movie and then out to eat. Charlie stayed home with the boys, so I called around 7 to see how it was going. I talked to Charlie and then Connor insisted on talking to me. He got on the phone to say, "Mommy, its getting late. You better come home. I don't want you to be out when it gets dark." I laughed and went back to talking to Charlie for a minute.
I ended up getting home at about 10 and of course the boys were both fast asleep. In the morning, I got up and started making breakfast. Connor woke up, walked to the kitchen and said, "Mommy, you were not here at bedtime. Please go to your room. I think we need to talk." I wanted to laugh so hard because that is what we tell Connor when he's in trouble. haa haa Anyway, I distracted him with breakfast and he forgot about my failure to be home before dark. :)

On the Nicholas front, he is off and on with going to the potty properly. I still have him in diapers. However, today we are experimenting with Spider-man underwear. He has managed to keep them clean and dry so far for 3 hours. He's gone to the potty when he needed to do so. Hopefully it sticks! He is very proud of his Spider-man undies so here's hoping he keeps them clean all day!

Videos, etc.

Here are some fun videos from today and a few pictures.

Below you have Nicholas and Connor dancing to one of their very favorite songs. They are addicted to this song!

Here Nicholas is scolding his Daddy for being a naughty boy and sending him to time out. By the time I got the camera, his scolding had kind of turned unintelligible but still remained quite stern.

In keeping with his theme of identifying naughty individuals, Nicholas decided Mommy should get after these naughty toy dinosaurs.
