More Vacation

Here is the group picture of us as we entered Sea World.
Connor is already busy studying the map to figure out where he wants to go.
Uncle Phill, Auntie Molly, and Baby JT pose with Shamu
Shamu and his helpers were not too pleased with Uncle Phill for the following picture, but we thought it was a hoot!

Auntie Molly and Uncle Phill working on getting some smiles from JT for pictures!
Climbing on Daddy is always fun
 Cannons are even more fun!
Thankfully, no one jumped into the fountain.

Family Vacation

We are currently on a big family vacation.  We have spent 3 wonderful days so far with Grandpa Jim, Grandma Connie, Uncle Phill, Auntie Molly, and Baby JT in beautiful San Diego.  The kids are loving the family time plus all the fun activities!
Fun at the beach right outside our condo
 Baby JT hanging out
 Kyle taking some self-portraits
 JT loving his swing
Kyle helping Grandpa Jim with the salad
 Brotherly love
Every night we step outside to watch the fireworks show that they do at Sea World.
Nice to see it from our condo and then go to bed.  :)
 Sea World was so fun!
Nicholas and Connor rode this ride with Charlie.  They got drenched but had a blast.  They wanted to go on it again right away, but we had other stuff to see and do.  When they asked again, I told them it was broken so we would have to wait.  We ended up passing by the ride again to find out it WAS actually broken.  I thought to myself, well at least now I'm not a liar.  Ooops... unfortunately it stayed broken the entire rest of the day.
 Kyle loved the animals
We got to watch them feed the belugas.  I have never seen such vicious birds in my life!  The Sea Gulls and other birds show up at all the feedings and try to steal fish from the animals.  One bird attacked a lady next to me as she was taking pictures.  Another bird smacked a poor beluga in the head to steal his fish away from him.  He hit the beluga so hard that Connor was so worried that the beluga might die as a result of his head injury.  I assured him that while it was a mean hit, it was not going to kill the poor beluga.

Stay tuned to our further adventures from San Diego!

Zzzzz

For the first time in his life, Kyle fell asleep in his high chair.  He fought his nap hard this morning and just tried to power through.  Lunchtime became naptime for today.
This was actually a few days ago.  Just in case you wondered what Kyle looked like crying.
He got scolded for biting and burst into tears.

Kyle's favorite thing to do is go outside and bird watch!
I snapped some pictures while we waited for some more birds to come by.

Comic Con

Last week we drove down to San Diego for Comic Con.  We broke our drive up by stopping for a visit with Baba and Deda.  The boys thoroughly enjoyed Comic Con, though they were all worn out each day with all the hustle and bustle and long lines.  They were all very well behaved and we all had so much fun.  :)  We attended panels, shopped, got lots of free swag, stood in long lines, walked for miles, spotted celebs, got very little sleep and were completely worn out by the end-- and yet it is the MOST fun thing we could have done last week!  Already the boys cannot wait for next year's Comic Con.
I did not take too many pictures because we were so busy watching and doing that I kind of forgot most of the time.
 Swimming in the hotel pool
 The CHUCK panel :)
Charlie hanging out with two of his really good friends, Jess and Jordan
We all thought this TARDIS was great!  It even made the right noises.  :)
We all couldn't help expecting Dr. Who to pop out of it at any moment.
Now you may wonder why Charlie looks so glum in this picture.
The truth is that he's just really, really tired.
He got in line at about 2 am for the Dr. Who panel we were attending that morning.
The boys and I slept in our nice warm hotel and he sacrificed for us.
Thanks to his efforts, we got really good seats and got to enjoy the Dr. Who and GLEE panels.  :)
The boys having breakfast in line for our panel in Hall H.
Can you tell the boys missed Charlie while he was camping out?
They stayed with him a long time just snuggling.

Most of my pictures during the panels came out pretty dark, so I took video instead and those turned out better at least.  When watching the videos, be advised that Kyle sometimes intermittently decided my camera angle needed to be adjusted.

The CHUCK panel was awesome!!  We had missed all previous years because it always conflicted with something else we really wanted to do.  We HAD to attend this year because it is their final season this year.  Here is a touching excerpt from Zach Levi thanking his fans for the show's success.

Here is a snippet from Darren Criss (Blaine from GLEE).

And finally, a bit of the Dr. Who panel.  Matt Smith and Karen Gillan were of course HUGE hits at Comic Con.  There were SOOOO many Whovian fans out there!  After the Dr. Who panel, Hall H was more than half empty because of the exodus of Dr. Who fans.  You must keep in mind that Hall H is the largest capacity room at Comic Con.  I am not sure of the room capacity, but it is at least 6,000 and we were definitely at capacity!

Thanks Mom!

Today Kyle crawled away from me to go do his business in the next room.  When he came crawling back a few minutes later, he was lugging a package of wipes.  He was having a hard time, but he was determined to get them to me.  As he came in, I asked him if he had gone poopie.  He grabbed at the back of his diaper, which he does when he wants to be changed.  I lay him down and changed him.  As I finished up, he looked at me and signed, "Thank You."  I thought it was so sweet!  :)
