Today we went to the park by our house. Kyle loved being able to play with his brothers.

Merry Christmas!
When we woke up this morning, I was surprised that Nicholas was awake and Connor was asleep, especially given that it was already 8:30. Nicholas was excited that Santa had come and was wondering if we could all head out there now. I told him we should wait until Connor woke up and he said okay. By then, Kyle was now awake too. All this time I was assuming Kyle wasn't fully aware of what was going on and that we had been expecting Santa to visit, but he got off the bed and went running down the hallway yelling, "SANTA! SANTA!" as he went. He found the presents and I had to run out there because Nicholas was horrified that Kyle was furiously trying to open all the presents. Charlie woke up Connor and so the fun began. :)
I wish I had been videoing here because Kyle was SO excited about his Nativity set! He kept yelling, "JESUS!! JESUS!!" (Yes, he is a fan of yelling things.) He desperately wanted his Daddy to hurry up and open it for him.
Charlie distracted Kyle while he opened the Nativity by giving him another present to open. When he got this one unwrapped he started yelling, "SPIDER-MAN!!" So yeah, then he wanted this one opened up too. After he opened all his presents, he was walking around with Jesus and Spider-man.
The pile o' gifts
Santa did indeed eat some of the yummy chocolate chip cookies and drank his milk
Can you tell Connor just woke up?
Kyle was showing Connor the present he tried to open.

Time for stockings
There was two big gifts in the kitchen for the older two boys from Mom and Dad. Connor opened his and exclaimed, "It's a monitor!" Nicholas opened the other one and exclaimed, "It's MY OWN fridge!!" We explained it was a computer but he was convinced we were wrong and it really was a fridge of his very own.
Someone left the PS2 running and I found Kyle trying his hand at a Spider-man game.
During Kyle's nap, we decorated the gingerbread people we got in our stockings.
Mine is a girl
Nicholas went nuts with the frosting.
Connor took his time on his gingerbread boy.

Gingerbread Houses
Today we set out to make our gingerbread houses. We bought a pre-made kit. Charlie and I were not a fan of the candy included, so we just ate ours without candy for the most part. The boys made theirs and enjoyed the candy. Kyle just ate his without decoration of any kind. He kept looking at us like we were crazy for not just digging in upon receiving of our house.
Ooops... my house had a little cave-in.

Christmas Vacation begins!
Today was the last day of school for Connor before Christmas break. They wore festive hats to celebrate!
He's so huggy with Connor because he had just come home from school and
he obviously misses Connor when he's gone.

Christmas Program
Tonight was Connor's Christmas program at school. It was so cute to watch him up on stage. He really liked the way he looked all dressed up; he kept saying he was like a movie star.
Kyle was playing peek-a-boo while we passed the time waiting for the performance to start.
