Wednesday

Nicholas told me he was going to look cool today with his cool green sunglasses.
 Beautiful warm weather!
It is also nice and breezy so we were enjoying our pinwheel.
Nicholas showing off the bracelet he made in school.
It was an ice cream day at school!
See how tall Connor is?  Scary, he might surpass me by 5th grade or sooner!

Here is a few of Kyle's latest words.  He likes to call his brothers 'buddy' and he likes to say 'morning' to people he sees when we are out and about.

Pre-K Pictures

Today we got Nicholas' class pictures.  They took one goofy one and a regular one.  Nicholas got the pictures reversed I think.  He looks like he's being goofy in the regular picture and serious in the goofy one.  Oh well!  Memories!

Wardrobe check

Today I decided to make sure that the suit we got for Connor's First Holy Communion still actually fits, since it has been a few months since we got it and that boy keeps growing and growing.  Thankfully, it does still fit.  He was excited to try it on and kept remarking on how very handsome he looked in it.  He also said, "Hey, if we put a flower here in my pocket, I'll look like I'm about to get married!"  Of course, that made me smile and want to cry all at the same time-- the thought of my baby boy getting married-- Well, let's just say I'm not ready for that moment to come.  He will always be my baby!

Someone raided our little photo shoot and kept exclaiming, "CHEESE!"
King Nicholas- who if you ask will tell you that he does not really want to be King because it is too much work.
I went to a concert last night and this morning Nicholas told me, "Mommy, do you know that it breaks my heart every time you leave?"  I hugged him and said, "Oh, well I'm sorry it breaks your heart but I'll always come back."  To which he added, "Yeah, I know and when you come back my heart is all fixed again."  This little boy always says the sweetest things to me.  :)

Spring Break

We are on Spring Break this week.  The thing the boys wish the most is that Dad could be home with us.  It has been raining so we haven't gone anywhere, but it has been nice just staying home with no where to be or need to rush off to do anything.
I thought it was cute that they decided that their little friends needed to sit on the couch and watch tv with them at their 'blanket party' in the living room.  Kyle joined us but he was fresh off a nap and not really wanting to be photographed.  I managed to tickle a smile from him.

Brotherly Wisdom

Yesterday the oldest two boys were annoyed with each other and were arguing.  They started yelling at each other and then Kyle chimed in too.  He was yelling back at both of them and so I said, "You see?  Everything you do, you are teaching him to do."  Connor then turned to Kyle and said, "Okay Kyle, don't do what Nicholas and me do.  Do what Mom and Dad do only because they are much better behaved."
On Spring Break, but still reading!
 Being silly!
This picture is from when the boys were all sick.
Nicholas got so tired, he fell asleep at the table while he was eating his lunch.
Meanwhile, Kyle found a green marker and decided it made good lipstick.
Good thing it was a non-toxic marker!
He got a wipe on his own and was trying to clean himself up.

Happy Easter!

The kids went straight to bed last night.  They slept in till almost 9.  Then they woke up and ranted and raved about their very cool Easter baskets.  Then we had an egg hunt.  They had three prizes:  The Most Eggs Collected- Nicholas, The Least Eggs Collected- Kyle, and The Finder of the Last Egg- Connor.  Connor drew prize pictures for all the 'winners'.

Nicholas does not waste any time.
Kyle is wondering, "What are you guys doing?"
Ohhhh... there's candy in these eggs!

Finally Better

We went on Sunday to the Doctor for the third time in a week with Connor.  His Pediatrician had seen him on Friday and said if he continued with fever on Saturday night, take him to get some testing done on Sunday.  Saturday he had low grade fever, so we took him.
The main things that were bothering me is that I didn't know why he was so sick.  I mean, we all got sick, but he got super sick.  He had zero energy and high fever for most of the week, low fever towards the end.  The Pediatrician said that maybe he had Mono or just the flu really bad.  I was like Mono?  I didn't even realize kids got Mono.  I was so confused (and reading about Mono online wasn't really helping).  I really wanted answers.
Connor was not happy about having to submit to the tests but he cooperated.  He had to give blood to test for Mono and a nose swab to test for flu.  Thankfully, it was neither of those.  He just had a really bad virus that hit him harder than the rest of us.  She also said it may have been that he was sick with one virus and then got a different virus on top if it, given that he was sick with fever so long.  That would also explain why Nicholas and I took so long to get a fever.
In any case, this week he is back in school and more himself.  We are all still stuck with this annoying cough, but I can finally see the end of this bout of sickness coming to an end.

Here we have everyone working on homework.
