Sickness

So you may recall two years ago, Lainie tore all the ligaments in her right leg.  Well today we took her to the vet and found out that she has now torn all the ligaments in her left leg.  They are not doing surgery this time because of her age and because they also found out that she is losing sensation in both back legs. :(  They said this degenerative process may eventually make it so she cannot walk on those two back legs.  Now, she is still a pretty happy doggy.  She still jumps on the couch with us and such, so I'm glad it is not so bad and pray it doesn't ever get to the point of paralysis.  The Vet said her spine looks perfect so it is not to do with that.  Her arthritis doesn't help her, but she's on meds and hopefully will start to feel better with each passing day.  He did say it was more about keeping her comfortable, which made me sad for her.  We love her so much.  It is hard to believe she is a senior dog with senior dog issues.
Then we had to take Kyle to the Doctor as well because he woke up with redness in his cheeks that turned into rash all over.  Turns out he has Fifth Disease (or slapped cheek disease).  He is not contagious anymore now that the rash has presented, but he does need to avoid prolonged sunlight or heat.  Other than that, he's fine.  He will just have a rash for anywhere up to four to six weeks.

Wedding Weekend

This weekend our good friends, Sarah and Steven, got married.  Charlie was a groomsmen and Nicholas was the ring bearer.  There was lots of wedding activity.

Wedding Rehearsal on Friday

 Ring Bearer and Flower Girl
Thankfully Nicholas did not listen to the groom's instructions that he is a ring bear and has to growl at the people sitting all the way up the aisle.
 Bride to be, Sarah

 The big day!

We were at the Church since about 1 so it was a long wait for the actual wedding.
The Flower Girl had to remove her shoes.
 Moments away from starting!
These two were so ready to go.
Yay!  They are married and time for pictures!

 My handsome hubby and I
 First Dance
 Daddy/Daughter Dance
 Mother/Son Dance
When the dancing started, we told Nicholas and Connor to go dance.  Connor danced on  his own, but Nicholas went straight to where Ashlyn was sitting and asked her to dance.  It was so cute!  He was totally loving twirling with her and dancing the night away.  Later, they took a break, but then she came looking for her dance partner again.

We enjoyed the photo booth.  In this one, we were photo bombed by a Kyle who had followed us to the booth.

Kayla, Ashlyn's sister, decided she wanted to dance also.  She asked the Groom to set it up for her.  Then they danced a good portion of  the night, too.

Kayla ended up catching the Bride's bouquet.  We told Connor that meant she was getting married next.  He thought about it and said, "I think I will wait till I'm at least 10 to ask her if she wants to marry me."

All the boys danced with the Bride.  Nicholas danced the longest with her.  He said that the Bride was a better dancer.  Connor said that Kayla and Sarah were equally good dancers.

Nicholas danced with me a couple of times also.  He insisted on twirling me and was appalled when I suggested I twirl him.  Apparently, only girls are supposed to be twirled.
It was a great wedding!

Bike Ride

Today was overcast, hot, and muggy. Despite the weather, we went out for a bike ride and to play at the playground anyway.
