Halloween!

We have had a fun filled Halloween. It started raining today for the first time in ages; it was really coming down.  We feared we might not get to trick or treat, but thankfully the rain let up enough for us to get some candy collecting in.

I was Hello Kitty

Nicholas had a huge party with lots of fruits, veggies, cookies, crackers and other yumminess.
My friend, Aisha, and Baby Aiden.  They were there to celebrate with the Second Graders and Aiden's big brother, Danny.
Put on his Gnome hat really quick, but he did not like it.
Connor had a smaller party.  It was just a small cup of fruit, a juice, and a cookie.
His costume is Hero Bryan from the Minecraft video game.
The Second Graders had to wait till after they ate to put on their costumes.  Nicholas is Spider-man.

Nicholas' best friend, Eoghan, and his little sis, Niva.

After school, we went to IHOP for a free Scary Face Pancake for the kids.

 Time to Trick or Treat!
The very first house we went to gave the boys a whole package of cookies each.
They were thrilled!
Charlie kind of, sort of dressed up as Batman

After about an hour, Kyle called it quits.  He just sat by the sidewalk and waited for his brothers to trick or treat.
Getting progressively more tired by the minute
Nicholas had to take a picture with the skeleton

Science Camp

On Monday morning, Connor went off to Science Camp in Aptos.  Though he was merely over the hill away, it was very strange to have him gone almost all week.  He finally got home today at 1:30.  Kyle and I went out to greet him as their bus arrived.  Kyle proudly held up the sign I made.  Connor was tired but very happy when he got home.  He says Science Camp was awesome and he wished it was a little longer, but he did miss us a lot.  His cabin leader said that he was the only camper he ever had that wanted to write a letter home every single day.  We have gotten one of his letters, but the other three are still out there somewhere.

My Camper Connor on Monday morning, ready to go!
Their nifty Science Camp t-shirt.  The frog scientist design was done by our friend, Lisa Radocchia.
The campers are almost ready to go.
Wednesday we had fun at Daddy's work.  We worked on Halloween crafts and got some treats.

We also got a picture of Connor from a friend who was chaperoning at Science Camp.  She said he was having a blast.  :)

Thursday, Kyle's preschool class celebrated Halloween.  He was very excited to wear his Ash costume (from Pokemon).

At 1:30, we waited by the sidewalk for Connor's bus to return from Science Camp.
 Last one off the bus!
He really enjoyed the sign and was tired from his trip.
He went home and showered and relaxed a bit before we had to go back to school to pick up Nicholas at 2:43.  Nicholas snuck out of class to give this card to Connor.  It says I mist you Connor.
Tonight we had pick your own toppings home-made pizza (one of Connor's favorites).
Kyle and Nicholas chose a meatball and pepperoni topped one.  Connor had pineapple and bacon.  Charlie and I had pineapple, bacon, and pepperoni.
 The 3 musketeers, together again!
We had cupcakes for dessert.  Yummy!
