Starting the Christmas Season

We took pictures for our Christmas card and went to see Santa over the break.

They went to see Santa in their Darth Vader pajamas!  They were slightly self conscious about it until they realized no one seemed to even noticed they were at the Mall in pjs.
The line was very long and we took some pictures while we waited for our turn.

Lots of Stuff

November has been very busy and I've not found time to post on here until now.  Lots of stuff happened.  :)

Here is Kyle at Happy Hollow.

We babysat Nekoa and Nadalina.  Nadalina loved all our toys and playing with the boys.  As always, Nekoa loved coming over and playing.

Connor wrote a story for a PTA Reflections art contest.  He won the school competition and went onto District competition.  He won there as well and now moves on to 6th District.  We find out in January if he moves onto State competition.  He is hoping to make it all the way to Nationals.  We shall see!
 Very proud of himself
Nicholas had to decorate a turkey in disguise.  He chose to make an Iron Spider Turkey.
Nicholas was also Super Star on the 20th.  He was very surprised and proud of himself.  :)  We are so proud of him as well!
The younger two celebrated Thanksgiving in the classrooms.  Nicholas' class made a Friendship Soup that they enjoyed together.

Kyle's class had a Friendship Feast.  There was SO much food.  Here he is sitting with his good friend, Hanna.

Magic

I took the boys to the library today to see a magician.  They LOVED it!  The Magician asked for volunteers and chose Connor.  He didn't even know what he was volunteering for, but he was eager!  When he found out what the trick was,  he was pretty nervous.  He was going to have a shackle placed on his neck and then have a sword pushed through it from one side of his neck to the other.  He was brave and even though he later confessed his doubts about it all, he went through with it.  The younger two boys asked me if Connor would be okay and after I assured them he would, they relaxed and enjoyed the trick.  It was pretty amazing to watch!  Connor's eyes were so wide when he watched the sword come out the other side.
Nicholas was also picked to help the Magician.  His trick was not as 'scary' though!  He tore up some paper and then mashed it together and when he unfolded the wad of paper scraps, it had turned into a jack-o-lantern mask.
It was a really good show and we were so happy to have been able to attend.  Although, if you ask Kyle, he will tell you that he would have enjoyed it more if the Magician had picked him as well.

Pumpkin Patch

Yesterday we went to the Pumpkin Patch with our friends.  The kids had so much fun, despite the fact that it was suddenly very, very windy and cold!

Lainie didn't go to the Pumpkin Patch, but she got some love when we got home.

Costume Birthday Party

Today we celebrated Tiernan's birthday at Chuck E. Cheese.  It was a costume party and so we wore our Halloween costumes.
Kyle was dressed as Spider-man.
Nicholas got pretty competitive at this air hockey game.
Birthday boy, Tiernan, looks on as Nicholas tries to beat his friend, Ryan.

 Two happy brothers
 I love their facial expressions!
 I am dressed as Spider-woman.

Nicholas is dressed as Iron Spider (a cross between Iron Man and Spider-man).
Connor is dressed as Superior Spider-man.
