Birthday Party

Today we celebrated Kyle's 5th Birthday because he really wanted to celebrate with friends before we go off to Texas for the Summer.  It was a fun day!

Awards

Friday was the school award ceremony for PreK to 4th Grade.  Nicholas was one of 10 students in his class to receive an award.  We had to keep it a secret so he would be surprised when they called him up to the front.  Boy was he surprised!  He kept looking around like me?  My baby!  He has worked hard this year and we are so proud of him!
He was in such shock as he made his way forward.  :)
 Posing for Mom

His best friend and his best friend's little brother also got awards.  Tiernan, Eoghan, and Niva love Nicholas so it was so cute for them to get awards together.  :)

This week was also Spirit Week.  There was different dress requirements for each day.  There was a twin day, where each of my boys dressed the same as their best friend.  There was book or movie character day where they dressed in their Spider-man costumes.  There was Disney day where they wore their Spider-man costumes and the Spider-man themed Mickey Ears I made them.  Then Friday each grade had to wear a specific color.  Nicholas had to wear orange and Connor green.  I wasn't able to take pictures throughout the week.
On Wednesday, it was store day in Nicholas' classroom.  Each student brought in something homemade to sell in the classroom.  They have been saving classroom money all year for this day.  Nicholas opted to bring chocolates in the form of Spider-man's head.  All we did was melt the chocolate and pour it into the mold we bought and let it set.  We could only make 9 at a time though so it took us a few hours.  Nicholas said when he opened his store, he was immediately swarmed with customers.  We made more than the allotted 28 and he still had to make a sign saying sold out.  He said, "Mom, everyone was crazy for my chocolates!  Some people bought two and they still wanted to buy more! I had to put the sign so they would stop coming to my store!"  It was a cute lesson.  They set their own prices.  They convened after a bit and talked about how their sales were doing and whether they had priced their items too high or too low.  They had to pay the teacher rent on their store front.  It was a fun lesson.  Nicholas came home with many goodies he bought, like bracelets, book marks, coloring books.

Open House

Tonight was Open House at the boys' school.  They got to dance for the parents and then show off what they have been working on in class.

Connor's last open house!  He was so excited to do his dance!
Nicholas was also excited to do his dance.  :)

Doing the chicken dance with the bestie!

Connor's class had a power point presentation showing off some of their work, but it didn't photograph well so I have no pictures of that to share.
